Martial Arts Series on the History Channel 2007/07/18 14:23 Karma: 2
In case anyone hasn't seen the ads for this, the History Channel has a new series called Human Weapon. The two hosts travel around the world taking a look at different arts.

It looks like it might be entertaining and hopefully won't be cheesy like that "Fight Science" special last year.

The series premier is this this Friday and is about Muay Thai.

Yes. I saw it. It looks like it will be a good series- investigating various martial arts systems around the world; training, and then competing with the champions.

The first episode was a look at muay thai. They travelled to Thailand and Burma to study and train.

The smaller guy fought the muay thai champ. I think the muay thai champ went easy on him.
But, that's OK. I don't think anyone expected him to study muay thai for a short time, and beat the national champ!

Haha, my brother and I saw it. It was very interesting. I knew he wouldn't win, but I saw some insights to muay thai.
