some points i know won't always work but there are a few that will work everytime and cause KO or death.2 that i know of are the knife hand chop to the throat and the other one is a strike to the side of the neck. When you strike the artey in the side of the neck it stops the blood flow to the brain hence causing KO or if it is hit hard enough will cause death. When you strike this artery in the neck you are also activating the vegas nerve which doubles the effect.

When you strike to the side of the neck, angle your hand to slide up or down a little bit. It increases your chance of knocking him out.

Good point, Dave.

Most people, indeed, do not train in a particular system long enough to discover these deeper truths. It's a shame that they jump from system to system when what they are looking for is probably within what they are studying.

Another problem is that many instructors earn a black belt or instructor certification, and believe they have arrived. Their training slows and they fail to press on to the real training.

Thanks for your insight!

Unfortunately for most people, one of the most important aspects of pressure points in combat, call it what you will, Dim Mak
Kyusho etc, that is not taught but should be, is the fact that any time you interfere with another persons vital energy, ie Chi/Qi/Ki etc., you are also causing damage to your own vital energy. This is one reason why the old masters would not teach this stuff to just anyone.

Then you get guys that claim to have studied this stuff for over 20 years, without detecting any ill effects....
Hmmm, do we believe 20 years of hit and miss study with out a proper system or do we believe over 2000 years of meticulous study based in Traditional Chinese Medicine?

I know who I'd prefer to listen to.

Thanks for the vote of confidence sifucrake, this subject is one that is very close to my heart and one tat I have researched quite extensively.

One board that I used to subscribe to didn't appreciate the questions I would serve up to the so called masters on their staff, and so they kicked me out.

I try not to be rude, but I have a tendancy to ask the hard questions.
